I currently work at bestbuy and i think its a decent place to work. Ill admit some of their policies are abit out there , btu thats their marketing strategy. And every salesman there isn't high school kids who dont know anything. they are really knowledgable people who help folks that have never owned a computer before , or never knew anything about digital cameras. The best thing anyone can do there as an employe is offer the customer options.
I have worked in every department except apliances. What i have learned is, it is really not about selling the product but its about selling yourself and being honest with the customer and yourself. If the 90 year old lady needs cables to her dvd player then sell her the cheapo's instead of the monster cable that bestbuy wants you to sell her. thats how i look at it and i have fun everytime i go in their
I guess their strategy's payoff. they are the number one consumer electronics retail store in the world.
