Sounds like you've been warned twice, so what's the problem? The theory is that they want you to establish a rapport with "potential" customers. The next time that customer comes in, they will look for you(even though you won't know who the frik they are). It is the same philosophy that Wal-mart uses with grandma greeting you at the front door. It lowers your guard and makes you feel more comfortable.
