is the MAF adapter a must have or the filter wont fit on? and is there instructions for this maf adapter or is it basically common sense once i get it?

You need the MAF adapter. That is what the Filter is clamped too. It's basically a common sense install. You'll see where and how the adapter goes on when you take off the old filter and housing. It's pretty easy. When you get the filter it will look like th part where the clamp is, is too big for the maf adaptor (youll see what i mean) but just keep tightening it and it will be just fine.

hey when i reomve my stock air box to put in the new filter what do i do with the plug that is currently going into the air box? because once i remove the air box there wont be a place for that plug to go
