K&N RU-3530, MAF adapter, and homemade heatshield.

If you dont search around before asking questions, people are really going to get on your case. The most popular is the K&N with MAF adapter. Go to ajusa.com and buy a K&N filter. The product number is RU-3530 for the filter. Then go to spmotorsports.com and get a MAF Adapter. (it should be in the intake section for the tour) Then after you get it all, make a heatsheild. The heatsheild is a box type construction that surrounds the filter on all sides (except top and where the airflow comesin from the fender) so engine heat can't get to it. Again, try searching before you ask a question. Most info you'll want to know has been asked dozens of times. Welcome to CEG.

I just bought the 24 dollar one off ebay with Bomz filter and i love it, Sounds beastly noticeable power gain from 3-5k. ITs easy to put in to. Id do it if you like your car.

Ok ok ok..

take a breath. Sloww down before you continue. I just want to say you should research to draw your own conclusions on what you want and what you are capable of (affordability/mechanical knowledge)

What Jim (BeyonloadedSE) mentioned to you were parts necessary for installing an open element airfilter. A heatshield is an entire design process as many (in my opinion) aren't worth purchasing. DemonSVT built one out of a trash container for sakes.

It just takes a bit of ingenuity, some swearing, and maybe a couple more containers to get it right..

99MystiqueATX built one out of plexiglass? was it? Nonetheless turned out to be good too,and it even looked different.

All in all, just search for CAI, Cold Air Intake, open element filter. Better yet, check the stickies in Duratec Performance

here were/are my intake setups..

K&N RU-3530 (in classifieds)

Current Intake - CC CAI

I love both of them, the ru-3530 had a more distinctive intake sound and was def. badass
