I suggest that you not try. You may damage something at the worst and just waste your time at the best.
What you are describing doesn't make sense.
Are you trying to make the engine crank? Does the engine crank but not start? Are you trying to get it started without a key? What do you mean by regulator? If you mean the voltage regulator, it should have nothing to do with trying to start the engine.
As long as we cannot understand what you are trying to do, we cannot help.
