OP Luke_Miller Newbie L Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 7	I'm thinking about buying a SVT. I have two general questions: 1) How do you tell the difference between a 1998 and a 1998.5? 2) What if any are the advantages in purchasing a 2000 versus a 1998? TIA. Luke

I do not exactly know the main differences, but the 98 and 98.5 are pretty much the same if I remember correctly. For a bit more $ you can get a 2000, for a fair price. HP wise they are the same. IIRC the 98.5 have differently valved struts too. The 00 is comestically the same as the 98.5, but it has the 'extra' 5hp and actually has a tick smaller motor, but a bump in C/R and seems to respond better to mods. *Ryan* Trollin!

Luke 98's have better dashes, bigger brakes, better shift tower/cables?, better looking door ding gaurds, dash clocks, IMO better stock rims, a few others i'm forgetting, i'm not sure but i want to say the fuel pump issue doesn't affect them either. #3162 of 6535 98 SVT Silver frost Viper Responder 791 w/ 2way remote start Let the modding begin!

'99 Spruce Green SE "Sport" 'Tour, 2.5L MTX...80K and running like it just rolled off the lot. Tryin' to add an extra .5L ASAP
