Aamco has a surprisingly solid and trustworthy reputation, and has been golden each of the two times I've dealt with them. I'd definitely pick them to work on my present transmission troubles, if I wasn't already at the point of deciding to just get rid of my Contour.

(Reasons to get rid of it, besides the tranny problems: it's kind of decrepit, on our recent trip to Yosemite it kept overheating, it doesn't really have enough legroom for me, and I just got a new job with an enormously higher salary.)

. . . Two zetec Contours, two blown head gaskets... for some reason I have a Japanese car now. anybody in California want a Diehard Gold 100 month battery? inquire by PM.
