HA! I thought you meant SCCA Solo; I wondered why it was in CI. This is much cooler: congratulations! I've always seen helos as the motorcyles of aviation: harder to fly, but cool as hell. BTW, I work at Lockheed, and I'm doing work on the displays that are going to go into the Common Cockpit. Someday you may fly what is sitting in my lab!

Officer. 1LT for about another month and a half. Then its CPT.
BTW, I just like fast toys, cars, women...oops, wife won't like that one.
Haha, I've seen that one with the apache photochop. It's really cool.

Yeah, it is a Jetranger in Miltary trainer helicopter markings. They also use a variation of it as the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior scout helo.
I'd love to fly the 53 but its a Navy/Marine bird. I'll take AH-64 and/or a CH-47. There is the possibility of the blackhawk but it's third on my list.
To all, thanks for sharing. I'm really enthused tonight and it was nice to talk about it but I have to be up at 4:00am to get ready for flight line and academics. I'll be doing the solo party later this weekend. Beers on me if your're close enough.

You made me think of my Dad  He wasn't a pilot, but he flew the jet he worked on once. He told me it was the best experience of his life.

You lucky dog War. I remember my first solo in an airplane like it was yesterday. Helicopter is always something I have wanted to do, and you seem to be in line to fly one of the most extreme helicopters around. I am envious.
