Don't count that option out. People are getting pretty excited.

I was a Combat Engineer until last March right after I got back from Iraq. However, I put in for a branch transfer to aviation and was accepted last year while I was in Iraq. I started flight school in May and should graduate next May. It's tougher than I expected but doable and rewarding.
So all told, I was enlisted in the Marines as a 2531, then Army 31C and 31U, Commissioned Army Officer as a 21A(formerly 12A), and now a Pilot 15A.
I wonder what's next?

BTW, I fully expect to be back to Iraq with air support within 1.5-2 years. I actually want to go back so that I can respond with a heck of a lot more firepower now!
