Has anyone ordered the mesh grille inserts from Performance ford? if you did can you post some pics??

can u post a link? I was not aware of any new grills for our cars other than the expensive 1 from BAT.

I've decided to get the same mesh locally and make my own for my car, and the wife's Focus. Probably cheaper, and I'll paint my oval body color.

They responded and here's the mail
"I just went through our emails and we did receive the one you included with
this recent email. I apologize if it went unanswered the first time around,
I must of missed it or thought I already responded.
Grills will not be available til mid-July now. I have updated our site to
reflex this. Reason being is the amount of interest and a recent family
issue that will not allow me to concentrate on Performance Fords til mid
next week.
In terms of your oval inquiry, I do not mind giving you the large oval and
then attaching it to your chrome if you are not satisfied with its look.
The decision on what it is you would like to do will be yours but I am
willing to be flexible. I am much happier having a satisfied customer than
making a quick buck. Only extra cost to you will be the shipping for the
oval.
Again, sorry for misplacing the email, if you have any other question or
concerns, please let us know.

Hey Guys,
Well, I placed my order on Monday, Allessandro (the guy at Performnance Fords) said that he had just enough material to make my grilles. He said I should have them by the end of next week. If i can get my hands on digital camera I will post some pics.

i ordered them too, seems like a good deal, alessandro is great to deal with...they are going to strip and paint the oval black also for me at an extra cost....anyone have any good ideas on how to get the chrome strip off in the back so i can paint it?

 How do you like my homemade one? 94 cents for the lower portion and about $2 for the stock grille.
