Don't youl ive in California? Doesn't the wax you use last about 2 weeks out there? There's the tradeoff. 5 steps ever 6 months or 1 step every 2 weeks.

I'm guessing that he was referring to their interior products and not their polish. Besides, Zaino doesn't make wax. smile

APT kinda opened up my question. What exactly is the difference between polishing and waxing? confused

The difference is not the application, but the product, maybe part of the confusion. Without reverting to the Zaino web site, the Z products are synthetic polymers that are meant to withstand both the hot surface temperatures and the other weather effects. Wax is wax. Same as the candles you use for dinner. It melts at about 120 degrees which is not suitable to the 170+ degree surface temps of dark cars. And wax is not clear. Sure it provides a glossy finish, but it changes the color of the paint. Some like it, others don't realize it. Zaino is 99.x% optically clear. The main problem with it is the relentless pursuit of perfection means quite a few initial surface preparations steps. Many aren't willing to take the admitably long amount of time to do it (and the $100 for initial products).

But, one coat of Zaino is supposed to last 6 months on a daily driver. Many people don't just keep one coat on because the shine gets deeper with more caots and the application of each coat takes about 30 minutes.

I sure hope you come to the meet cause I want to see how it looks against Meguier's. Not doubting it, just want to see it first hand.

Josh, I was using Meguier's before this, and I would have to say it is just a little more reflective with just the one coat of base and swirl remover. I think once I get it done with the final polish it should look really good. I am pretty sure that I'll be at the meet at the end of the month so hopefully by that time I'll have all the polish and stuff done. I think this stuff would look so good on your blue. I saw the pics of your car that stinger put up and they just do not do the car justice. I wish that was a factory color, I would have taken that in a heartbeat.
