I'm thinking about just taking all my courses online for a business administration degree (looks like only degree offered online that could be remotely useful to me) from my local 2 yr college. Any thoughts on doing this? I work a full time job, so I probably can't be a full time student just by taking night classes, though I can be a full time student by taking online classes. It's the same basic cirruculm and degree, so I think it would be best to do this. Just looking for some input. Thanks.

If you're doing it through your college you should be alright. I know some of these fly by night places that offer online degrees are not accredited schools so the degrees are not honored in places. Holy unreal post count Kremit!

I'm no help, but I am just starting school by that method. I'm attending American Military University for a B.A. in Intelligence Studies.
I think in the future alot of schools will turn more towards online type classes.

Yeah man, since you have some college experience it's not like you'd be missing out on learning group skills. The only disadvantage of CBT is it's lonely work, no friends involved; but that's really a damn good thing, especially at your own pace. Sometimes, your own pace can actually be faster than the in class curriculum.. saves you lots of time. Ontop of that, no driving to school (or to another class if you're dorming already).
I could think of many more reasons to take CBT after some college classes. I think it's a good idea  Good luck with it if you choose to do it.

I will graduate in December with B.S in Computer and Information Science. I did the 2nd half of my degree primarily with on-line classes. In my experience, on-line courses are much more time consuming than classroom classes. Yes, you can take 12-15 credits and work full time. But, you will work just as hard if not harder than if you were taking all four classes in the classroom.
As someone mention earlier, make sure to school you pick is fully accredited.

I agree. I took a couple classes online with Devry Univ and it seemed like a lot of work. Not only did you have your homework and papers you also needed participation points for the week too. In order to do that the instructor posted discussion topics and you would have to post insightful responses atleast 3 times a week on each topic. Usually you would have 3 topics a week and you would have to post your first response by Weds on each. When you start taking more than one class at a time the work really starts to build up. Sometimes I think it would have been easier to just go to the class. You also should be able to learn just by reading because thats all it is. There is no lecturing involved. We would have a weekly real time chat with the instructor but most time nobody would show up. It would just end up being a BS session.
Over all I was satisfied with online schooling. I wouldn't recommend taking more than 2 classes at the same time. At least until you get used to it. Keep in mind this is just my experance with my school. Some others may have a different online setup.

Any comments on this scenario?

I think basic classes with few variables can be done online but a class relying on participation, discussion, and a broad range of topics needs a classroom setting.
As part of my degree, I took 3-classes on Chinese culture. I couldn't imagine learning online. Discussion topics, reading, films, paper writing were all key elements. I thoroughly enjoyed the perspective I recieved from other students participation as well as the range of instructors I had. We covered some current events as well.
Although the Chinese literature class, Women and Gender in Cinese Literature (CHN 350) was a bit heavy/deep on the reading/philosphy side I still enjoyed the perspective my lesbian instructor gave.
