I have put barely 20K miles on the Firehawk SZ50 EP and they are getting too noisy. Worse than the original BF g-force.

Comments?

... or could it be the front wheel bearings?

No...its the tires. My dad had those prior to what he has now (even bigger mistake, Badyear Eagle 1's - LOUD)

Its just how they are. The harder the rubber the louder they get.

Not in my experience. More a factor of the tread pattern IMHO. I've got 80,000 mile touring tires on my Honda Accord EX Coupe - very hard compound. Tires are more smooth & quiet than the POS soft 40,000 mile Michelins they replaced. Been that way for every high quality high mileage touring tire I've bought. A little research goes a long way.

Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

I guess you're saying Eagle F1s.... They are not hard rubber. And I agree, it's more to do with tread pattern. Cheapo touring tires that were on my car were loud because they're tread pattern was just some crap. My fuzions are a lot quieter (don't hear anything, atleast not over engine/exhaust).

Are your tires showing any wear pattern? My original g-force KDWs got tossed at about 25,000 miles because the wear made my SVT sound like it had a bunch of rocks where the wheel bearings should have been, at any speed, but worse when slowing to a stop. New KDWs and 4 wheel alignment fixed the problem. At nearly 25,000, they're nothing like the originals were.

The problem is now fixed. There was nothing wrong with the tires. It was the wheel bearings.

hey if you think they're noisy, then let me know where you got them because i want a set for my mustang, i have them on the front and they're the best i have had and quiet. so if you dont like them i would take them if they were the right size.
