I'm going to put a new power steering rack in alone this week.
I was just wondering if you guys have any recommendations for what manual to purchase to help me out. I've seen Haynes and Chilton as fairly popular ones, also tyring to get ther Ford Tech ones from Todras in classifieds.
If anyone has doen a power steering rack, pm me.
If anyone has the ford tech manual, I'd like to purchase it off you.

I got the Ford Factory CD from Todd about a month ago. It is very comprehensive but it is only diagrams. If you like pictures, autozone has some pictures too but not for the steering rack. http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?ForwardPage=/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/1b/d6/6d/0900823d801bd66d.jspI also use the Haynes manual (also quite a few pictures) but sometimes the instructions are very vague. Have not looked at the steering portion though.

It looks like that link form autozone is pretty comprehensive. Have u ever done a ps rack. Also, if you don't mind, could you look in your haynes manual and see if it has a good how to with pix of a ps rack.
This job looks intimidating from the steps on the autozone website.

I got the ford tech manual, it shows how to replace the gear inside the steering column. So its a little too much info but very indepth with basic diagrams. ford cd's here: http://www.jonheese.com/fordcds/
