I heard it on the radio this morning. Anyone else hear about Eminem retiring at the age of 33? I guess he says he's achieved everything he wanted in his rap career, and wants to persue a career in producing. And let's keep the "I hate Eminem" crap out of this, as I didn't ask whether you like him or not.

Sounds like a good plan to me. He's got enough $ I'm sure. I know if I never heard from him again it would be just fine.

I don't think he could stay way!

I seriously doubt he will stop rapping. He'll just do what Jay-Z does which is find a spot on every remix he possibly can and remind us that he's still there. I do think that there will be no more albums.
His producing isn't all that great compared with the Neptunes, Trackmasters, Dr.Dre, and other mainstream producers but he will still make it.

I would if I were as rich as him.
That being said, I can't think of one rapper who's retired that's actually stayed out of the business. Just look at Jay-Z. He drops hooks on more songs now than he ever has.
I think nowadays "retire" means make cameo's on other people's records.

but the difference is that Jay-Z is just talkin [censored]. Eminem is producin for D-12, and G-Unit still, so if they want him in the song, then what's he gonna do, just say "no, here's your beat"???? and he's been retiring since his last album came out, hence the word "Encore"

After altering 2pac's lyrics and butchering the man's image, he should be dragged and shot if he steps foot in another production room again.

He is retiring, he wanted to quit on top, that's why on his latest CD he commits suicide at the end, which was a sign of him finishing, although he's won't be singing he has already started to write lyrics for other artists.
