I've been drooling on the crutchfield website all afternoon, I need something to replace my Kenwood eXcelon kdc-x815 that lasted me through highschool and college... I don't have the cash to get anything I want so I gotta keep it around 250.

Kenwood Excelon KDC-X589 ($249.99)- anyone have this deck???

I want 3 sets of preouts for future expansion. I have a 12"Infinity Kappa sub thats being driven by a Kenwood KAC-7201 Amp for now...

So if anyone knows of anything in this price range that is decent please let me know.

Yea, I think thats the one my friend has in his silverado. I'm gonna go play with his tomorrow see if I like it, I think the one audio shop around here (townsound)has that kenwood, so I can play with both of them and see what I like, as far as features they are pretty even, but I think the kenwood has a little more power.

Ijust picked up an alpine cda-9847. Less than 200 bux, 3 pre-outs, MP3 playback, color changing buttons, great deal.

After looking around a while for a new head unit for my own car, with about the same budget as you, I decided on the Alpine CDA-9851. I haven't bought it yet, but I'm planning on it. It retails for $270 I think but you can order it online for considerably less.
