Ya, but think of all the overhead...that per hour goes to the owner of the shop who 'most likely' is renting the shop, still paying for the 100's of thousand dollars of tools, pays his employees, all utilities and then has to keep some money for himself.

I worked at a shop...I hate paying that rate too, but the mechanic doesn't get all of it...now in my case my boss owned the land, owned the shop, had the tools paid off, only had 4 mechanics under him and paid them next to nothing...well he just bought a new Ford GT...he charges 75/hr and is busy as he!!
