Exactly. Throughout my life, I've been able to become pretty decent in every sport I've played, except golf. So I've come to hate it and am even considering arguing that it's not even a sport.

I love mini-golf. On family vacations when I was growing up, we'd always go mini-golfing. My brother and I would secretly put money or valuables (things like baseball cards) on the line. The Pirate's Coves in Michigan and Sister Bay, WI were the best.

It's not a sport to me...You'll never find me playing golf. Therefore, not a sport...

I havent been playing that long. Maybe 2 years now. I still shoot right around 100, but i love the sport. I would play a lot more, but its cheaper to get my basketball stuff on and go play...

about a 7 handicap here. Play about 2 times a week. Used to work in the industry so have a bunch of friends that are golf course superintendents, so I get to play for free Would probably be a lot more frustrating if I had to pay to play.

Love the game & play once every two weeks with a great deal of pain. Can finish 9 holes OK, scored a 34 my last time out, but the back 9 the pain get really distracting & my game goes to hell... This is riding in a cart, not walking.
I'm scheduling knee replacement surgery, so that should take care of most of the pain. After that, I'll really enjoy the game.
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

I really enjoy golf now that I don't play competitevly. I have a brother-in-law on my wife's side that is a Golf Pro, and my sister's husband has a 6 handicap. I hate playing with those two, lol. I shoot in the low 80's, which isn't bad, but when I play with them I look simply terrible. I don't keep score on a card, it helped me enjoy the game more. I play 1x/week at our local Country Club; they have a "$9 Tuesday" special. $9 to walk 18 holes. 50 cents a hole on a nice country club ain't bad!
