Theirs a new thing going on Ebay basicly its Hids that you can plug into stock wiring harness. Those kits are crap if would to buy one find something that runs off your battery instead. All you need to do is to wire them up. Put the Ballasts in your stock head light mount and your done. I have seen people with these kits on and their hid like and bright as hell. I post pictures on wensday, when I clean the old magnum.

Umm.....that kit looks no different than any other HID kit. Am I missing something?

Maybe someone who knows about HIDs more can chime in.

I think he meant to say that the bulbs lock into the factory headlight hole, not the actual bulb socket. For example if you have the 9005 the supplied bulb will screw right in. Still have to wire everything up.

well its got a wiring harness which is good. However id you plan on using the bulbs in your stock assembly, please DONT. The bulbs he is selling are probably D2S, which are for projectors. You need the right bulbs for the stock reflector, you need D2R bulbs. I have the origional Hella ballsts with Phillips 4100K D2r bulbs, looks like a factory installed HID. Everyone loves it around here

So what exaclty is the dif. btw the D2S and D2R. Im not all that familiar with the specifics on HIDS. What will happen if you use the D2S bulb in the stock housings ?

D2R bulbs have this cover sorta thing on the bulb that contains light from going all over that place, expecially for an open reflector housing like we have. hence the D2R.."R" meaning reflector based, heres a picture of the bulbs I have, notice the cover over them

D2S bulbs pretty much dont have the cover thing and therefore are used in projectors. You SHOULD NOT USED D2S in reflector based housing, my kit came with D2S bulbs and I tested out just to see how the beam was, you can seriously KILL someone with the beam D2S produces in a reflector. D2S are strictly for projectors and it should remain that way, heres a pic of the D2S my kit came with, I sold the bulbs and bought the D2R's pictured above.

and please people, dont be stupid and buy kits with D2S bulbs, you can seriously cost harm to oncomming traffic. Hopefully all this info. helps

btw..this is my kit I'm running..Phillips 4100K w/D2R Phillips bulbs
