excellent info Goonz. Thank you. So is there any diff btw your kit and the ones pictured above except that those prob are the wrong types of bulbs?
Does your kit hook straight up to the battery like the ones above? Are yours a simple plug and play like the ones above claim to be?
what is the easiest way to get a very quality HID kit for my SVT but at a resonable cost w/ the correct bulbs etc.? I want the bright white w/ a tinge of blue probably around the 5000K range (the look of the new Maxima's (i think maybe its the Altima)
Ive seen some Evo's w/ HIDS and they look amazing. Im not sure if they are stock or not but thats also the look im going for
SOLD Polarg M-28 super bright white bulbs. Replace yellow stock license plate bulbs. See add in classifieds.
WANTED:: EVO style CF hood

I got my kit from here however they had a kit going with wiring harness and D2R bulbs for $300..I got that and sold the D2S bulbs for a pair of 9006 rebased Phillips D2R bulbs from here So basically the 9006 base on the bulb enabled me to easile use it as a regular bulb and lock it into place in the headlight. as for the wiring harness, its kinda plug and play. the blue sockets pictured below hook up to the the stock plugs..then black/orange go into the ballasts..then there is one that easily connects to the battery and another for ground..installation took me less then 15 min, I couldnt be more happier with this..I mean I turn mine on and its like my HID's are stock looking, not like the crazy blue blue ones u see on other cars. My kit looks absoloutly stock and 4100K is the BRIGHTEST color u can get, the higher temperature you go, the more weird the color is hope that helps..need any other help, feel free to ask..Im like the HID masta now

Just wanted to ask a curious question. Does anyone think that 8000k would be to much for or would look out of place on an SVT? Am interested in HID's but don't want my car to look like they don't "fit" on it.

Yes. Go for 4200k or 5400k, anything above that and you lose 'usable light'.

BTW goonz you make putting a D2S bulb into an open reflector sound much worse than it is. when I got my car the prior owner had put them in, and I was only flashed... twice, the entire time I had them. Only person who complained was svtdriver because he's so damn short, that his review mirrors were directly reflecting my uber bright headlight

I would not go with the Korean Crap guys. Total garbage that WILL fail after a year or so, and may even cause catastrophic electrical meltdowns... If you cannot afford to buy Philips/Hella and think this is a bargain, then you are better off saving you money and then buying the Philips/Hella. And contrary to what the Noobie says in the first post, all GOOD kits come with a wiring harness that HOOKS UP DIRECTLY TO YOUR BATTERY. This makes sure that the HIDs have enough juice... I just love when people talk out of their rear ends...

Yes. If the company offers a relay kit, buy it. I got the relay kit for mine a while back, and jeez wouldnt you know it I actually think they are working better (seem "more powerful" if you will). So in short Milan knows what he is talking about. As far as Goonz's half covered bulbs, I cant imagine them cutting down "glare" (not that its bad as it is) that much. Reflectors reflect light everwhere inside of them. I would love to put his and some uncovered bulbs side by side. Really, I could sit here and talk about how my eyelids block out some of the scattered light.

Goonz, along with Nissan, Mercedes, Lincoln, etc, all have the same way of thinking. D2S bulbs DO NOT come in a reflector type housing.

well goonz does have a point that d2s shouldnt be in a reflector housing, as the cover part for the d2r bulbs is on the bottom (I think!) which blocks scatered light that reflects up.
I just think he took his statements of nearly killing other motorists with d2s bulbs in a reflector a little too far. Its in reality not THAT bad.

actually I didnt drive with those bulbs at all, it was obvious that with that open HID bulb, I could def. kill someone. I knew before I even got my HID kit that I needed D2R bulbs. I however did test out the D2S bulb in the housing to see how it was, man it was BAD!! My D2Rs were a HUUUGE difference, I do get flashes here and there, but its only in certain locations. I really want projectors however
Be smart, dont buy cheapo kits! but from trusted name brands like hella and phillips..
