Well, I got it in:
First, I jacked the car up and loosened the subframe bolts. Here's the subframe partway down:

Got rust?
Then I managed to wiggle things out of there. Here's the subframe free at last:

Like I said, things are pretty rusty under there.

Then it was time to get that subframe fixed up! I had a buddy weld it up fast 'n' dirty:


By this time I was getting excited about testing it out, so I threw it right in:

Thanks to Stazi for the endlinks. Infinetly better than the stock crap. The originals had about 1/4" free play in them, plus a lot of squish.
It was about an hour and a half to get it all out, 15 min to weld it all up, and an hour to get it all together. It can be tough with the tight tolerances of the new parts.
