Well, I got it in:

First, I jacked the car up and loosened the subframe bolts. Here's the subframe partway down:

Got rust?

Then I managed to wiggle things out of there. Here's the subframe free at last:

Like I said, things are pretty rusty under there.

Here's the old and new swaybars:

And old and new endlinks:

Then it was time to get that subframe fixed up! I had a buddy weld it up fast 'n' dirty:

By this time I was getting excited about testing it out, so I threw it right in:

Thanks to Lee for the Aussie bar (they're getting hard to find!)

Thanks to Stazi for the endlinks. Infinetly better than the stock crap. The originals had about 1/4" free play in them, plus a lot of squish.

It was about an hour and a half to get it all out, 15 min to weld it all up, and an hour to get it all together. It can be tough with the tight tolerances of the new parts.

Got Rust? No kidding! Can you get an Aussie undercarriage to replace your stock one too? BTW Auto-X, I bet you that will be the same face you will have when you receive my Ground Controls and Konis

Where would it break? It's fully boxed, so the weak points are taken care of.

the stock mount material is too thin, i can just see it tearing...most do it like this(myself included) welding a piece of heavy gauge channel in place of the stock mount.

When is that going to be anyway?

Those shiny bits will look funny on that rustbucket, huh?

It might take some time, but considering you still have the car on stands, it would be a pretty cool idea to grab some sanding sponges and get busy. When you are done, hit everything up with Rust-O-Leum Black to match the aussie. Let her dry 24 hours before driving again, and it should help. I had some suspension components partially rusted when I originally installed my suspension, and I treated it the same way. Has not gotten a single chip as of yet.
