1 ounce is about how much you will use. You cannot see it very well while applying it, so trust yourself in knowing it is there, instead of reapplying it over and over in the same spot. You will seee it when it dries. Also, spray the applicator pad with some Z-6 before you apply any of the polishes like the Z-1, Z-2, Z-5. It makes it so you get more ease of application on them while applying them. And last but not least...
