Most of the Mazdas aren't foreign anymore(?)(correct me if I'm wrong), they used to be before Ford bought them out. Then they got better.

IIRC, Ford owns a minority stake in mazda. Something like 25%-35%. Much of the hand waving is still from Japan, especially the design and engineering.




Well apparently its enough stake where it is on Ford's website as part of their vehicle lineup.




apparently? i'm not disputing that at all. it's a "partner" company, not a wholy-owned subsidiary like Lincoln-Mercury. they have their own staffing, their own management, their own engineering, etc.... and the head honchos are in Japan.
