Sorry to hear about your trobles. That standing water thing can wreck havoc on a car. A good lesson learned is to check for things like that (there's often a smell if it's crept into the cabin). You have to be very careful about the vehicle ... whenever I buy a car I try and get hold of the previous owner to discuss it. If it's been traded for a long time, I'll often pass as there's a chance it's stood for a long time in God know's what!
The Corrolla's are nice, like most Toyota's ... pretty bullet-proof IMO. Personally though I find them a little un-inspired. I'm sure you'll enjoy it, especially the 'newness' of 2005!
