After that though, its open season for the car. And registering in another county works as well. I registered my T/A up in Sturgeon Bay, WI cause we own some land up there. collector plates NOT historical plates. to get collector plates the car has to be a limited production car, and you must show documentation or you need to prove that its a show car with at least $5000 in reciepts plus pics. (they made me send pics of my Mustang Saleen). the car cannot be your primary source of transportation, and you cant put more than 5000 miles a year on it. I know this to be true because i have collector plates on my SVT. and NO E CHECK is ever required not even the first one.
