Huh? My CD said take it out from the top. I just got it out this past Saturday. It was tight but it came out no problem. Like someone said, be careful with the wires by the firewall and its a good idea to have someone help you keep an eye on things while you lift. The only thing I would have done different is remove the front trans mount bracket. The CD may have said to do so but I can't remember. That bracket was getting snagged and scraping up near the top but not really a big deal at all. Just something to keep a look out for.




I swear my Ford CD has you attach it from the top, support the engine, disconnect the mounts, unbolt the subframe, then lower the hoist.

Oh well.
