My query popped up 512  released PCMs just for 1998-2002 Model Years (Contour, Mystique, Cougar, Mondeo), so there are plenty more out there. However, many of them probably were never installed in saleable vehicles. I also expect that I'm mising quite a few Mondeos. FWIW, this is an exceptionally high number for a single vehicle platform over 5 years. Unfortunately, I don't think that I am authorized to release database query results.

STRATEGY-ATAN0
my originaly code was RJL1. but was flashed a while back when the car was with the previous owner.....
is the strategy my code?

is the strategy my code? sorry to bring back an older post but can anyone help me here? is the strategy my code? this is what a buddy of mine read on his scanner.... or is it still RJL1? i am getting a chip burned and the guy only let me know today that the info. i gave him is incorrect..... any help would be appreciated.

I would love to help, but I can't seem to find the secret code anywhere...
Looked in the passenger door jamb... nothing.
Looked under the glove box... found the PCM... no sticker...
Popped the hood and did not see anything that resembled a three-letter, one-digit code...
1996 Contour SE Sedan 4D (Royal Blue)

Automatic
75,000 miles
No Mods (unless you call the DMD a mod)
Replaced EGR valve (gunked up), EVR (EGR VR), PCV valve, and evaporative emissions hose (cracked).
