300 lbs more... that's a lot. Or were the earlier ones lighter?

And the geometry just isn't as good. It's fixable, but limiting travel with stiff springs and bushings, but it's still not as good as the Contour. I've seen them Auto-x, and they were not nearly as nimble as me.

1989 3300
1990-1991 3380
1992-1995 5-speed 3425

Contour is like 3100-3150 I think.

Okay. I race at 2900 wet, no driver. SVTs are a good bit heavier.

bla bla bla...

You people crack me up lol. I know who Demon is i have met/raced him im sure i know what his 2.5 was able to do. considering i lost to him in a race vs my SVT.

I think alot of you noob's don't realize that i owned a decently mod'd SHO and a CSVT at the same time.
My fav part is when someone says its a heavy beast LOL. Ya just so you know when i put the new engine in it cut out a ton of crap. probaly about 300lbs in wieght(plus the wieght reduction of the CF hood). ohh wow where at the same weight now.

Don't get me wrong but i love the CSVT but some of you clowns have your heads way up your ass!

You didn't exactly give a very comprehensive mod list, then. 300lbs is a fantastic amount of weight.

I have nothing against SHOs. I was just stating some facts about them. Mods like a 10% weight reduction change things.

Cool stuff. I'm still flabbergasted by Dave's time. That's friggin' fast for just bolt-ons.

Ahhhh the Ninjas! lmfao....that thing is from ICP, right?

I think I actually agree with Jason. I own both so I think I'm fair to judge. The Yamaha takes to mods better than the Duratec does. I've raced a number of combinations in both cars. I would rather an SVT than a SHO but I'm not going to be jaded by the Contour. I call things as I see them. Win goes to the SHO 9 times out of 10 unless you've got some serious mods to the Contour and the SHO driver sucks. SHO is so much stronger in a straight line due to it's TQ. I think ppl are forgetting that. My 93 put down 191hp and 190 tq with just a catless y-pipe. What mods does Dave have on his car? Intake and exhaust? How did he run a 14.2 with a 2.5 even totally modded? Chad ran a 14.7 supposedly.
