Uhm... last I checked Greg had a 3L... and it runs "just" a bit faster than your SHO... IIRC, his worked 2.5 ran faster as well...

when i had the 2.5 with bolt on's i beat 3. about a car. he was talking alot of trash, and i have 19'' rims too. what sho, out with the old and in with the new svt.

Also: you need a good foundation to make a car handle. Mods or not, the Contour had decent geometry, the Taurus sucks. And it's a heavy SOB.
And, Greg is kind of on a different level. Somehow he makes sweet PnP love to Duratecs of all sizes and makes them give him more power. I think it's voodoo, but I'm sure his 2.5L voodoo beat SHOs. His mid 13 sec 3.0L voodoo sure does!

No & no. SHO with a suspension does very well. And it's not much heavier than a Contour.
