3.2L MTX???

People do swaps like that?

~~~as for the race~~~
Contour off the line with a good luanch. Advantage SVT in 1st
Even in 2nd
Advantage SHO in 3rd.
SHO by a good tenth - stock for stock.
PROVIDED OF COURSE the 14 year old SHO is in good running order.
This applies to 1st gen SHO's. Every year they got fatter and slower.
After all they still are sofas on wheels regardless on the nice engine put in them. (only thing good about them actually)
Not true. Even a basic 3L swap would beat a SHO.
An SVT swap would not be close.
"Drivers being equal" of course.
However that's not "stock"
Not exactly.
I said advantange to the SVT in 1st.
Even in 2nd. (only because the SHO is taller geared, the SVT accelerates faster)
Advantage in 3rd to the SHO because it has a stronger powerband then the smaller 2.5L engine.
Since you will be in 3rd gear roughly half the 1/4 mile this is why the SHO wins.
If it were a road race the SVT would rip up on the SHO because of better gearing and far superior handling. It's a straight line race though. Advantage to the bigger engine.
As for my old 2.5L engine. It whooped up on SHO's. Then again it wasn't stock either.
