Pretty bold statement. I know that you're familiar with Chuck, and more than likely all of his SHO's. His most recent blue 93 SHO had a 3.2L swap into his MTX car, and my little 3.0L would pull on him N/A vs. N/A. I think that with all bolt-ons in the CSVT and a near perfect launch, he could hang neck and neck with a 3.2L MTX SHO.

But Dave doesn't have a 3L swap. It's a 2.5 that I know of. A 3L tour would be another story. Still close though.

Ask chang about SHO's. He's got just about every mod for his 2.5L. True duals, chip, Apexi etc. Smoke him every time. I've beat WRX's with mine. Maybe he was a crap driver I don't know. SHO on a roll in 3rd is a terror. I can run with a lot of stuff on the hwy for sure. Shocked a lot of ppl for sure.

What do those early-90's SHOs run? I know they're fast cars, but I didnt' think they were THAT fast. You don't think a 3L SVT could provide some good competition?
I hope your 3L SE runs faster that your SHO just because I think it looks so much better

Yep. Usually high 14's with a good driver. Hopefully you don't grenade the tranny with a diff. pin turned projectile.

Only stating that a decently modded 2.5L could probably hang. Assuming that Chad didn't just BS us all, his 14.7 run shows that he's atleast within range of a 3.2L MTX SHO.
However, we now know the mods on the SHO, so unless the moon and the stars are perfectly alligned, or the SHO(like all SHO's) breaks down, the SVT doesn't have much chance(unless he breaks out the Sneaky Pete).

Sorry, Just my take on the SHO's. 10-15 years old or not, they're not exactly the most dependable/reliable cars in my eyes. I owned one and my best friend owned one. Neither of us had much luck with ours, and they were both mint cars for the most part when we bought them.
