What about a CPO BMW 540i?

Other than that I think a lot of people are right on the money with a Legacy GT, the Volvo V70R/S60R are worth a look as well. Certainly more money, but getting one that is about a year old can save you a good 8-10 grand.

i'm really liking either a turbo A4 or a legacy gt right now. it seems like the legacy will be easier to get into the low 13's, and more reliably so. hmmm...

Yeah I just verified it with the website. TSX=2.4 RSX=2.0 but as far as I know most of the mods hook up the same as its just a difference in bores.

I thought you were getting away from highly modified cars?

Have you thought about used b5 s4's? The turbos are expensive to replace, but over on audiworld you can get a great deal on a used example with the work already done. With that package you have high 12's pretty much out of the box with a very real capability of low 12's, awd, 6spd and a very luxurious car.

If you are against an old s4, I think it would be hard for you to go wrong with either the a4 or legacy. Count on the audi being a dog out of the box though. Although it is unquestionably the more desirable car, be wary of quality and future issues (although I have had great experiences).

i am. thats why i require a car that is easily (and lightly!) mofifiable into the low 13's.

not against he B5 S4's, as they are one of my favorite cars, but reliability scares me. i'm running out of patience for tempermental cars.
