im thinking its a macpherson thing cuz i have cut coils on many hondas and things went beautiful. now cutting the stock springs is stupid, but on aftermarket springs cutting the dead coils is no big deal. on my 90 accord i have Intrax springs that were a 1.75" drop. i then cut TWO coils off, slapped in some Tokico shocks and it handled beautifully and still rode ok. had it that way for well over a year with no problems, er uh, except getting new tires about every 6 months. but that's the price of being
slammed!
