I will be the first to admit i dont know that much about tires, but i had dunlop sp8000's on my tour (225/50/16) and i enjoyed them... except for the damn rubbing... but excellent grip (atleast they felt good for the way i drove) and they looked nice.
so just wondering why you don't seem to like them?
I've owned one set of dunlops, they were noisey compared to other tires for the car they were installed on & they didn't last as long as I expected from the treadwear rating.
I have 2 problems with Goodyears: they wear out quickly, and I've had tread separation & bubbling problems with more than one set of tires on my old Mercurys. They'll never see another dollar from me.
Kumho tires I have not much experience with. I have a new set on my daughters Contour. They're soft & quiet. They don't seem to have a very good sidewall so handling is a bit like driving with a snowplow on the front bumper, & from the reviews on tirerack.com I'll expect them to not live up to their treadwear claims.
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.
