I've heard a lot of good things about the Avons but as of yet I haven't tried them.
My personal favorite is the Toyo T1-S. It's an absolute fabulous tire that stands up to the rigors of track abuse on my heavy Cobra. I highly recommend these.

My girlfriend ran the Toyo Proxes 4's and they were almost as good as the T1-S's. But a lot cheaper!
