I followed these simple steps about two weeks ago. I couldn't see the headlight bulb through the lens they were so bad. It worked out great! I didn't even spend a bunch of time polishing them. Most of the people I showed them too thought I bought new ones.
I was scared to death to sand them but I figured I had nothing to lose. If you haven't done it, try it! You will be happy you did when you are done.
