I know the thread(s) where you argued for single-plats. My single plats burned the ground electrode in one bank much more than double plats with the same mileage. So in my experience, double plats stay gapped longer. Fine wire plugs will work fine, yes, but I cannot believe the will last as long as a double plat. I know the advantages of a fine wire, and if they made a double-plat fine-wire, I'd use them. But they only make single-plats that will wear out quicker.
