I have a 98 CSVT with 67,500 miles on it. The other day I went to the dealership to buy some new spark plugs and wires. Today I went to put the new plugs and wires on my car and I think that the dealership may have given me the wrong plugs. The plugs that came out of the car read AWSF-32F on the spark plug itself, the new spark plugs read AGSF-32FM followed by 4M on the side. The plugs look identical except for a longer thread surface on the new plug. I guess my question is will this plug work and what difference is there between the two spark plugs. I am not sure if Ford made a change or if the Mr. Knowitall service rep gave me the wrong plugs.
On another note while I am here I have a question about the B & M short throw shifter. My brother bought one for me for my birthday and decided to put it in for me. everything works quite well except for the reverse lockout. I don't know if he didn't install it properly or what but the lockout is no longer needed to put the car into reverse. I took it apart and looked at it and the shifter does not go below the lockout plate in the car rendering the lockout useless. Just wondering if anyone has done the install and had a similar problem.
Any help with these two problems would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
