I am just trying to build a really decent sounding system now.
I use that midbass in my ranger, and I couldnt' be happier for the price paid. Strong midbass presence that seems to defy its 2mm xmax. They easily outperform my 6.5" mb quart mids from my contour on the low end. At the top end, they aren't quite as detailed, but again, for the price they are good. My only beef with them is the frame is kind of thin metal compared to higher quality drivers. If you have a soldering iron, crossovers couldn't be easier.
