Gas mileage depends on many things. Doing mods like exhaust, intake, spark plug wires, etc. will increase your gas mileage if you are just cruising. Tires also make a big difference. I used to get 26 mpg with my falken's, but as soon as i switched to toyos, i jumped to the low 30's. Last summer, I went to the Adirondacks in NY for a backpacking trip with a buddy, and I averaged 31.9 mpg over the whole trip. A/C was on the whole trip, and I only used cruise control about 60% of the time. A lot of time was spent cruising up and down mountain roads (I'd go up there again just to do that ) and my average cruising speed was probably 75mph. One of my housemates at school has a 4 door civic and can't even break into the 30's on the highway This is one reason I love the car
