I see alot of posting in here about this stuff and I have an alternative for those who don't want to wait around for this stuff in the mail...Mequiers! I detail cars on the side and use there products EXCLUSIVELY with great results. I'm not saying that the Zaino isn't good but there is other high quality products on the market. Mequiers has been around for 100 years now and they make my silver 2000 SVT look great! They have 3 different fine cut cleaners, glazes and reglazes and the Mirror Glaze #26 Hi-Tech yellow wax is unbelievable I bet if you use all the "steps" from Mequiers it will look as good if not better than the Zaino...trust me! Well I have been using meguiar's product's for the last 4 years. I have had nothing but good results. The only reason I bought Zaino is, because I want to see what the hype is all about.

No doubt that anyone that spends all the time detailing a car, no matter the exact products should get excellent results.
I would be interested in seeing Roger's car next to my 2000 Zaino Silver SVT. NVMYSVT also takes geat pride in his ride so I'd like to see how it compares as well. I have limited wax/polish experience, but am happy so far.
Two thngs I've noticed: #26 hi-tech yellow wax - yellow, i.e. add a color to the paint. Some say it creates a much different appearance than Zaino which is optically clear. Not better or worse, just different. And Wax melts in the sun. I've got once coat of the Zaino Polish on my F-150 and I'll let you know when it wears off. It's been 5 weeks now and a lot of water and this past weekend a lot of dirt/mud.
Antonio, you didn't say how the Zaino/Meguiers compares as far as looks/work/lasting goes.

I've used both. Zaino clobbers Meguiars on ease of application and removal and for me, that was reason enough to stay with Zaino. Aside from that, Zaino also lasted a lot longer than Meguiars ever did. Not saying that Meguiars makes shoddy products; their endurance tire gel is the only rubber finishing product I use. The only downside I see with Zaino is the upfront price premium, but after you take into account the durability of Zaino, I think it's the better product.
Don't knock it until you've tried it...

Gotta agree with Louis on this one too.....The first time buy is what kills you as far as price goes. After that it is usually only the Z-2 and Z-6 you will need to order in the next 6 months or so....

Amen Louis, sometimes it felt like I would need a putty knife to get the Meguiars off, Zaino (Once dried) comes off so easy. I will never put down Meguiars products, as that is all I used until I found Zaino. Unfortunately, I found Zaino before I purchased my SVT, so that is all that has ever been applied to her. My White T-Bird also had a shine like no other, thanks to Meguiars Gold Class. Before I did switch I tried the Deep Crystal System #2 polish and was happy with it too. To each his/her own, but I too would like to see 3 or 4 identical colored cars lined up next to each other with different products applied to each, then let each individual choose which one they prefer.

Taking Mequiers off with a putty knife? Thats a little over the top isn't it? I have NO problems with Mequiers and its removal.

Aaron[/b] Well if its not raining on Wednesday I'll be in downtown Mt.Clemens for the weekly cruise night. If you can't make it up there we can meet up somewhere and compare our shines. I hope that we can get a fair comparision even though your car is a different color than mine. Is the Zaino silver darker or lighter than the silver frost? I was just wondering because maybe the wax goes with their paint products. Hope to meet up with you soon. Roger R USMondeo@aol.com
