I try as hard as I possibly can NOT to slam on my brakes, but when the time comes I'll put the pedal as far as it'll go down but in a kinda gently sort of way. One time I was going 10-15 over on the highway seen a cop taking radar, and turned off the O/D and hit the brakes at the same time, and heard the engine rev, (reved up to about 4K) sounded kinda cool, even with stock exhaust.
Got down to the speed limit (60 MPH) turned back on the O/D and drove right past the state trooper.
