I did the TH fix on my 95 GL w/the 2.5 but have yet to see this problem on the 98 SVT I now own. Are you saying that the increase in air volume is the culprit? If so ( and don't ask me why) I wonder if the smaller filter will eliminate the problem, the current filter is a rather large K&N.
