Ok, I've got a set of BFGoodrich Radial T/A's on my Mystique, and I started to notice a little darkening of the letters on the tires. I clean them regularly, and all the whitewall itself is still on(not rubbed off at all), just not blindingly white like I want them to be. Can I just bleach the letters with like a Clorox bleach pen, or is there an easier, more blackwall-friendly approach. Thanks in advance.

Get a "tire cleaner" from your local auto parts place. That will clean up the letters nicely.

I already clean them. They aren't dirty. They just don't look DAZZLINGLY WHITE. I want to know how to make them whiter.

There is a tire cleaner called Wesley's Beach White. It works good, but it is harsh. I used it on my Jeep and it etched the clear coat on my polished aluminum wheels. It made my BFG AT's brand new looking and the white letters stood out like blazing white gameshow host teeth

Agreed. Thats what I use on the whitewalls on our van and our 66 impala. It works wonders!

Bingo.

Also like he said don't get it on your clearcoat! (wheels, paint, etc)

Bleach White from Wesleys owns. Don't use regular bleach. It'll turn the white into a light yellow over time. I know this from my old wide whitewall tire days.

Thanks for the tip guys, I'll go get some tomorrow while I'm at the auto parts store. I gotta replace some decaying electronics on my sister's S10 Blazer, and get some silicone sealant to keep my mother's Durangos hub covers on the wheels(we've lost 3 so far! ) Thanks again guys!
