God I'd hope not, half my background is of asian origin. Anyways, check out riceboypage.com and beaterz.com for more info....

Nah, I don't buy it. The posted description
above simultaenously claims the following:

1) "Rice Boy" is in no way a comment on the
actual ethnicity of the driver or owner of a
given car.

2) "Rice Boy" is in no way a comment on the
fact that a car is an asian import, because
it applies to all cars, even domestics.

Thus I can't see how substituting a word like
"Cigarillo" or "Shoe" or "Rectangle" could be
any less logical or have any less basis in
reality than the word "Rice" given that, by
the criteria in the definition posted above,
it isn't based on anything. I mean, if it
isn't based on either of those critera, one
could conclude it's just the product of lazy
thinking.

IMHO it either makes no sense, or definitions
like this are symptoms of back-pedalling...

I have a word I use when I see a 4 foot Supra
wing on a Cavalier or Civic DX - "Idiot".

I agree with timd, the word rice as it is described herein makes absolutely no sense. I do agree that it has nothing to do with the ethnic origin of the driver, but in its day it was reserved only for Hondas and other such cars that came from Japan as a play on the fact that Japan has a huge reputation for producing and consuming large quantities of rice, so the joke was that the car was a rice burner because with all the rice in Japan's diets, why not also fuel your car with the same thing? It was meant as a huge joke but then somebody got the bright idea that because a full blooded American could not possibly think a Japanese car was good looking or good performing (obviously they have not seen an Integra Type R lately) that they could then apply the term to anything that was not good looking or good performing, so in their eye any car that fit a category that did not appeal to their tastes was a rice burner which then turned to ricer and now we have "rice boy". I don't care how you word it, anything with the word rice in it that pertains to cars other than genuine Japanese cars of ANY make model and customization is meant as a slur to tell people that the car is slow and pitiful looking and fits the typical American stereotype of a Japanese car. We talk and pound on people all the time here about misrepresenting things with labels and then we turn around and incorrectly label people with the term "rice" as a desperate fumble to stab someone with an insult because "stupid looking, slow looking, ugly, etc." is not dramatic and painful enough. It is not enough to make someone bleed, but we always have to go for the kill. I for one may be a ricer to some because my car has a label that did not come from the factory, but if I am going to be stuck with that label, I wear that incorrectly termed rice badge with absolute pride because it means that I am an individual who chose to think for himself and not follow other people's thoughts on what they think I should spend my hard earned money on to make my car look good. My car goes fast enough to get me thrown in jail on any speed zone, I do not race the car, it is dependable to get me wherever I want to go with adequate planning, it gets good gas mileage and handles well, it is good looking, fun to drive and roomy. Who cares that I can't spin a donut or blow out my 300 dollar tires in 1.2 seconds (.5 seconds faster than a stock car of the same make at that and yes, I know, FWD cars can not spin donuts from dead stops, I am aware of this) at a busy intersection to prove that I am better than the minivan or the Yugo beside me? The car that has been built up to 700+ horsepower to be driven on the streets especially in rush hour is no more a waste of money, time, tires and gas than the person who chose to spend the money rebadging their car.

I was so inspired, I put one on my green SVT last night. It looks awesome! I didn't even have to add any extra brackets. Mine came with 2 small brackets which work very well.

Kudos to Chris for showing us the light!

Thanks Fenderman. I called 'em up on the 5th, and ordered the door from Gary. He seems like a great guy & we chatted about CEG for a bit. He knows us well. Very friendly & informative. Unfortunately for me, he did inform me that the price went up. I paid $87.46. With the price hike, you can bet I'll do some of the "security" measures mentioned. I should see it this week. Still cheaper than my local Ford dealer even though I'm in the Motor City where my door is coming from (even with shipping). Anyway, I'll post some pics when I get it installed. Can't wait laugh Hmmm...maybe I'll order a bunch of those Bullitt stickers, and put them all over the car!!...(just kidding Rara)

First of all, I am going to make a recommendation for all of you looking for a good place to get Ford parts. For all my Ford parts, I go to Atascadero Ford Outlet out of California for all of my stuff. The prices are reasonable (if not lower than most Ford parts departments) and the service is excellent... the people I deal with on the phone (Gary and Paul mostly) always have a can do attitude, are never rude, are willing to serve the customer, and when a part is backordered they are pretty much right on the money give or take a couple days as to when the parts will arrive. If they do not know, they won't pretend like they do in order to sell you something... they will tell you that they are unsure about the delivery date, but in those cases they do take your phone number and are very good about keeping you updated. When my Bullitt fuel door shipped, they told me it was going to be about 3 or 4 days. On the 4th day, they called to see if I had gotten it, and I hadn't so they provided me with a tracking number- it ended up getting there about 10 minutes later, but it was still nice to see a sense of concern for the customers and making sure that after they have your money that you have gotten what you paid for... the way it should be. Their number is 1-800-549-2005 if you would like to get ahold of them.
Secondly, the fuel door is on my car now.... yay! Chris, thanks once again for the how to.... I kind of cringed when I bent the tabs as you suggested, but when I saw there was no other way, I decided to bite the bullitt (ha ha) and go ahead with it. I did have some spacing issues... the rear of the trim ring was sucked in about 1/16 of an inch deeper than the top part of it, but after some re-engineering, I got the ring to sit flush and it looks awesome.
Last, I promised that I would post a way to secure the door for would be theives and such. I am of the opinion that nothing is 100% secure, but something to discourage theft always helps. I was able to use nuts to secure all of the aesthetic fasteners but the one that sits in the hole with the collar on the back of it and while the door was still off, I put a dab of JB Weld Kwik over the nut/bolt and on the one without a nut, I put the epoxy into the hole and around the thread and stuck the fastener inside and then dabbed some on the back of the door where the screw came through. When I got the fuel door installed and was happy with the way it sat in relation to the car's sheet metal, I tightened up the two screws securing the door and then wrapped the nut and exposed threads with the epoxy. While it may still be possible to get the door off, it will be much harder now than simply unscrewing it and removing from the car. Just a tip for those who want to secure their door a little more after the install, because hey.... who wouldn't want it? ;-)

I finally installed my fuel door today. I decided to use allen head bolts instead of the torx that came with it, just to be different. I also used nyloc nuts on it, and I epoxied the threads so they won't aquire a new owner.
Once again, thanx Chris!!

Pics to come.
