You can't? Why not? Ford Motor Company is the one that selects and trains their â??factory authorizedâ? dealers and if a dealership doesnâ??t meet Fordâ??s â??qualityâ? standards, Ford can fire them. How many bad Ford and Lincoln Mercury dealers have you had service your car(s) over the years? Personally Iâ??ve lost count. Have you ever seen a bad Ford dealer get fired? I havenâ??t.
Just as an example we have (4) Ford Dealers and (2) Lincoln Mercury dealers in the Las Vegas area; I have had my cars serviced at (3) of the Ford dealers and (1) of the Lincoln Mercury dealers. Not one of them could do a repair correctly the first time, in fact it took them, on average, (3) tries to get a repair done right. The one exception being when I had a local Lincoln Mercury dealer replace the antenna mast on my 1998.5 Contour SE. Sure enough they fixed the antenna correctly the first time, but the next time (a week later!) I took the car in to have them re-do a faulty repair (fix a malfunctioning lower intake manifold for the 3rd time) they bent the antenna mast and I had to bring it back (the next week!) to have them replace it again!
Iâ??ve called Fordâ??s customer service number to complain and Iâ??ve even called Fordâ??s regional service Rep, but unless you consider a pleasant â??weâ??re very sorry sirâ? as fixing the problem, nothing has changed. Sure they always listen to me carefully and ask many questions, but no local dealer has been fired and their service hasnâ??t gotten any better, in fact itâ??s gotten worse! From my experience I can only assume that our local Ford and Lincoln Mercury dealers, along with the rest of the rotten Ford and Lincoln Mercury dealers Iâ??ve dealt with around the world, meet Fordâ??s â??highâ? standards for â??Quality Care Serviceâ?.
