my last wheels were 18x8 and they rubbed like crazy i had them on 225/40/18. i saw they even rubbed a little on the inside(at strut) after cutting/grinding/rolling/banging the sh*t out of my fenders i finally got them to the point where they baaaarely rubbed anymore. every focus i have seen with the RS wheels has a wide body kit. i almost bought those wheels myself but couldnt find out if anyone had successfully put them on a tour yet. i guess youll be the guinea pig

I actually bought the RS wheels in the classifieds. I'll let you know how they fit when I get some tires for them. I'm thinking I'm probably going to have to get some spacers though.

To quote BAT's site.

"Due to increased wheel offset,
and width, wheel arch modification,
and or, flairs might be required."

just an fyi.

Yes, and no, since there is no such thing as a 2005 SVT...

Thanks, guess I read wrong on the 2005 part, I think I saw it on the BAT website.... anyway, I'd like to get a new set of wheels for my Contour, and liked the SVT versions. You'd think I'd know there was no 05 SVT model seeing as I've worked for Ford for the past 4 years!!! Thanks again.

Yea I read through BAT's site, but that is just copied from the Ford Motorsports site. That statement is for the Focus's. If you have a Focus the only way your getting those wheels on with tires is with the RS wide body kit. I'm hoping I can make it work with the Contour with less hassle. I guess we'll see. I'll post pics when everything is said and done.

Those are the same offset as my 18X7.5's I just sold. IMO, they should fit fine with a 225/40 or even a 235 depending on which brand. Please post pics when you do get them installed, those wheels are uber OEM sweetness
