not to try and keep anyone from buying one, but I really don't think the door is worth $90 $50, $60 yes, but not $90

It's all about balance.

Roger, the Bullitt fuel door is not aluminum. It is chrome plated steel. The texture on the outside looks like aluminum.

As far as installation, you have to take the whole door assembly off for it to fit. This includes the cone thing around the neck. it is VERY easy to take off: Unscrew the one screw holding the cap lanyard on, and with the door open, rotate the entire assembly clockwise about 15 degrees. Then it pops right out; door and all.

Chris,
I know you are busy and I don't mean to rush you but are you going to post the "how to" soon? I am interested in doing this on my Contour, but want to know before I buy what I am going to be dealing with. If you have them, pics would also be nice too, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks. smile

The "How-To" with pictures is on a data tape that I am about to restore to a new hard drive as my system/web server is down at the moment.

I can tell you it is VERY easy to install so go ahead and order it now.
