Thanks for the help. The switch on mine is held in with one sheet metal screw and when I popped it out found only one wire going to it. The screw grounds the case of the switch.
Yup, the dang dinging stopped OK, but now my interior lights do not work, so have to look deeper for this stupid dinger.
Does anyone know if the dinger itself is a seperate unit or is it part of some circuit board?
